Eli says: I know more about the Yankees but I like the Red Sox like my Dad! (“yahoo!” Says Dad btw). How’s New York? We miss you and love you too. Eli

I think it’s so cool that you started liking baseball after this game. What I really want to know is do you like the Yankees like Alex does or are you a Red Sox fan?

Looks like you guys are having a great summer!

Love you all
xx

I just checked your site, which I have not been able to do in a while and I saw the news! The all important news that you have joined us (me and Rich and most of our dearest family and friends) as a baseball fan!! Welcome to the club, buddy. We will be here for you to cheer, and here for you when you cry (sometimes your favorite team loses a VERY big game and gets knocked out of the running). There is a lot to learn, but even more to LOVE about baseball. SO happy to hear about your experience watching the Cardinals, and Albert Pujols. My cousin lives in St. Louis and he LOVES Albert Pujols. I LOVE YOU ELI. And please say hello to the rest of the family. Especially Alex.

Love, love, love from Laurie

The Cubs are pretty good I like them too, I’m sad they haven’t won a World Series too but I hope they do. Love, Eli

The problem is that I became a Cubs fan. They still haven’t won a World Series since I was your age, and by the way you saw them play when you were here in Chicago, they won’t win this year either. You may want to rethink that Cardinals fan bit, though. They don’t come to Boston very often. Can’t wait to see you again. And the monkey collection, too. Tomorrow! Love, Uncle Andy

When I was a just a boy, my Dad dragged me to a Red Sox game and I didnt really like baseball all that much; the stadium was smelly and the city was dirty.

However, when I walked up the steps to finally see the fields of Fenway Park, I saw the lush green of the field, the red clay of the infield and that huge left field wall they call the green monster.

From that point forward I was hooked! I have been a baseball fan ever since. I think the Red Sox lost but I still loved it! Thank you for sharing your experience!
